Following Hurricane Helene, many trees in Chatham County have fallen or been uprooted on both public and private property. Chatham County’s Public Works Department is working to clear trees blocking the roadway, and will be conducting bulk yard waste pickup operations.
Report downed trees
- If the fallen tree is impeding traffic in Unincorporated Chatham County: My Chatham app or visit mychatham.chathamcountyga.gov
- If the fallen tree is not in Unincorporated Chatham (other municipalities such as Savannah, Pooler, etc.), the property owner should contact that municipality for guidance.
- If on your property and don’t have insurance, call Crisis cleanup 844-965-1386 for personal trees or debris on their property.
Yard Waste Pickup
Residents should place all yard waste at the edge of the roadway, away from fire hydrants, utility meters, and other obstacles. Any trees should be cut into 4 foot long sections.
